| Besides his purely fictional work Daniel Veith also writes essays and article series about his travel adventures. In form of a literary “collage” he combines different genres like landscape portraits, tour descriptions, diary excerpts, letters, dialogs, geographical and cultural digressions in order to describe the experience of the journey in a very direct and impressive way. He illustrates his texts with photos of his own collection. |

| The reports and article ideas also concentrate on South America. They want to present all facets of the continent in a vivid panorama talking about cultural differences, going into action against typical prejudices (e.g. “All Brazilians have chocolate coloured skin, live on the beach and celebrate year-round carnival dancing samba”) and giving insider information that a tourist does not get normally. |
